Learning Objective Template

Use this template to draft up to four learning objectives for an upcoming unit or topic. For each objective, identify the level of knowledge (using Bloom's), the behavior, condition, and criteria — then combine those into a complete objective statement. Complete only the number of objectives you need; skip the rest.

For a sample completed document, you may return to your course module and view a completed sample.

Unit Overview

Learning Objective 1

Draft your first learning objective by completing each component below.

Identify the level of knowledge from Bloom's Taxonomy.

Describe what the students will be able to do. Include only ONE verb. Make sure it is observable AND assessable.

List the resources, tools, and aids students will be using (or denied) while performing the behavior. Also list any environment changes (e.g., "While at their science table…").

Tell how many they need correct for mastery and the time limit for mastery.

Combine the behavior, condition, and criteria into one complete objective statement.
