Use this template to plan a single, narrowly-focused classroom management or routine strategy. Describe an area of need, pick one strategy, then think through how, when, and why you will implement it.

Preparation & Roles

What do I need to do BEFORE implementation?

For example: decide on steps, make a poster, get materials ready, find a timer online, etc.

What specific things will YOU do during implementation to ensure success?

For example: actively monitor students, meet students at the door, give daily reminders, follow through, etc.

What specific things will STUDENTS do during implementation to ensure success?

For example: enter the room quietly, move directly to desk, begin bell work without talking, use a hand signal, respond and freeze, etc.

Role-Play Situations & Measuring Success

What situations do I need to role-play with the class to properly teach the strategy?

Plan problems that may arise where you need to address and re-teach strategies.

How will I objectively measure whether my class is successful with this strategy? (Be specific)

What will your classroom look like and sound like? What will students be doing? What will you be doing? How will you gather and record data? Consider recording data before and after implementation.
