Watch or read at least 3 videos, articles, and other resources provided within this module or other resources you find. Then write a summary and response for each of your 3 chosen articles. Use the provided template below to enter your response.

Content summaries

For each entry: enter the article/video/case study/report title, author (when applicable), and link, then write a summary of at least 150 words that addresses: (1) how the content reinforces or challenges concepts from earlier in this course, (2) the main takeaways, and (3) implications for your own classroom (positive or negative). Use clear language, complete sentences, and proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Example: Title: Management Strategies for Students With Autism Author: Sample Author Link: www.samplelink.com Summary: This article describes specific information to help guide your management strategies, for example, "losing and winning" for behaviors, where if you have a points system in place with a negative reinforcer (losing points) you also need to have a system in place for them to gain points back, so they do not lose motivation. Many of these strategies discussed in this article provide ways of positively reinforcing your set routines and procedures, building aligned consequences for poor behaviors, and incentivizing good behaviors. In my classroom, I have frequently utilized a negative-consequence-heavy management approach. I realized that once my students saw they would not get a treasure box item or a sticker for the day, their behavior would decline over the day or week. Adding in some positive incentives where they can earn points, I think will benefit me to help improve behaviors in my classroom. These concepts will enhance the concepts from the earlier video that focused on routines and procedures because I can build in rewards to positively reinforce the routines and procedures that I am observing students following in the classroom.
